I'm noticing in my Claude Code usage stats (from ccusage) that 95-99% of tokens are "cache reads." If true, then we're really not using as many tokens as we think.
Instead of $573 it would be more like $5 of usage. Maybe ccusage is broken because I doubt I used 691M tokens yesterday, but still.

I built a little utility app with Claude Code and Cloudflare workers. Within minutes, ClaudeBot and GPTBot started hammering the app at 8 request/second.

New from me: Y Combinator is no longer investing in Canadian startups.
The accelerator recently cut Canada from its list of countries where enrolled firms can be incorporated. They'll now need a new parent company in the U.S., Cayman Islands or Singapore.

Just to be clear:
1. California borrowed heavily from the federal government to cover pandemic unemployment that they “LOST” due to fraud.
2. Unlike every other state, California chose not to pay that loan down
3. The repayment burden was shifted almost entirely onto employers QUIETLY and automatically
4. This all occurred while the governor went on a press tour celebrating a “budget surplus”
