This summary of NET was posted July 6 2023, just before I went to Scotland/UK to tour for 2 weeks (3200 miles) to see where my ancestors lived.
I discovered that CO2 is key to NET. How to make it work in a simple manner has taken me 2 years after going through many options.

Combust fuel
Capture CO2 with combined cycle at 75% eff
Unload CO2 to house for storage
Make fuel (Ethanol is ideal) with RE, water, CO2
Store fuel in plastic tanks
Fill car with RE fuel, 3k miles in 3 min
Repeat
Cost is 3 cents/kwh fuel vs 60 for RE grid. 20:1

The point being is there are a lot of new types of semi trucks that can be made with NET tech that CANNOT be made with old Diesel or new EVs.
This can dramatically lower costs of trucking and improve the life style for the drivers.
Also, dollies could be self driving...

This concept of van dolly cannot work with EVs. Where to put the massive battery?
The "steer" tire has to carry the 10,000 LB battery load (500 Mile Tesla). A van cannot carry such a load.
Fuel weighs nearly 50 times less (200 LB) with NET.

I made a comment on the SPAN video.
Ironically, you CANNOT be net zero by electrifying. The MIT guy in the video fails to understand the problem. He is like the Caltech guys I worked with who failed to understand the problem and made wrong assumptions.
