Fun fact: since the last time I tweeted about HMS Home Warranty's HORRIBLE service, they've gotten off twitter. (SHOCKING.) However, they still deserve public shaming so I'm gonna share the latest in our drama and then email all of it to their e-relations dept. Yay! Here we go!

Our AC has been out for two weeks. Fed up with HMS Home Warranty, we got an outside quote from one of the most reputable HVAC companies in North Carolina. They quoted us $5200 to replace our 20 year old unit. HMS quote us $821.50. GREAT coverage HMS. GREAT.

And while fighting with HMS Warranty about our AC, we figured out that they shorted us $690 on hot water heater (which was out for THREE MONTHS before they fixed it.) Had we not had such shitty service with our AC, they would have just kept a cool ~$700 they owed us. #THIEVES

Another fun fact - HMS only has 1 service provider in our area. That provided cost us $700 in damage to our AC unit (the one they refuse to replace) when they messed up a previous "repair" and MELTED our copper piping in the unit, which we were told it could have started a fire.

oh another fun fact about that provider HMS Home Warranty requires us to use - we caught them trying to steal copper piping from us on another "repair". I CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP.

When HMS Home Warranty "fixed" our AC last time, they also installed the wrong sized compressor for our unit, which we just learned from the other company we brought in.
