Dragon and its new “boost trunk” performed a 15 minute burn yesterday, providing 1.62 m/s of delta-v to the ISS for station-keeping (a job typically performed by Roscosmos via the Zvezda Service Module or visiting Progress vehicles). It's been nine very difficult months for the Starship program, but today's test flight was a huge step forward. Congratulations to the many thousands of engineers and technicians who made that magic happen today.

Two years ago today: The first flight test of Starship!

After flying to a peak altitude of ~90km, traveling more than 60 km downrange from Starbase, and completing its boostback burn and coast, Super Heavy ignited its landing burn less than 40 meters away from the preflight target. The Raptor engines and booster guidance system precisely maneuvered the vehicle through the highest wind speeds yet for a Super Heavy landing burn. Upgrades to the chopstick controls enabled them to start wider and move earlier for catch, expanding the envelope for booster landing burn trajectories.

And the Raptor's red glare, flappy melting in air Gave proof through the night, that our ship was still there Biggest regret was being too hyped and forgetting to call B11 by its Spanish name "bey once"

Just reviewed the Falcon and Dragon launch teams’ Q1 execution with @edwards345 and @Gwynne_Shotwell. The teams set records in just about every category: - Falcon, Dragon, and fairing labor hours and cycle time  - Launch to launch time on all three pads and all three droneships - Two successful up/down astronaut missions for @NASA and @Axiom_Space - First ever Dragon 2 launch from pad 40 delivering cargo and research to the @space_ststion - Flawless execution on critical @NASA_LSP and @SpaceForceDoD missions, including Cygnus, PACE and USSF-124 - 31 total launches and a 12 launch/March demonstrating the necessary rate to hit our goals this year Most importantly, the team did all of this while reducing our injury rate and workmanship issues across the board. None of the records above count if someone gets hurt or we sacrifice reliability.  @elonmusk always reminds us that the seeds of defeat are planted on the night of victory. Despite the record quarter, the team must stay humble, stay paranoid and stay hungry!!!

Happy birthday to @SpaceX! What a day! HUGE congratulations to the entire team for this incredible day: clean count (glad the shrimpers could get out in the nick of time!), liftoff, hot staging, Super Heavy boost back and coast (and likely a couple engines making mainstage during landing burn!), clean ship ”insertion” and coast, payload door cycling and prop transfer demo (to be confirmed!), and ship entry!
