Seriously still so annoyed by this, not to be that guy (but yeah) this is a Mars/Earth transhab that's supposed to get you there in month? I don't care what direction the thrust is, none of this frilly arbitrary detail is going to survive it.
Sorry y’all but what is up with this kitbashed sketchup warehouse trash that made it into a “prestige” show like For All Mankind?

Quite remarkable art. I think, given AOC's political positions, that she will not and would not do this, and it should only be shared with extreme clarity that it is not a representation of her. Nonetheless it's a terrific piece of near-term science fiction.

So many older writers make what turns out to be their best arguments *on the way* to what they think their best arguments are. Worth contemplating.

Ascendant season is upon us. Expect great shakeups, the shifting of alignments and alliances, strange bedfellows, and outsized opportunity for those with the wit and cunning to recognize the landscape. The forecast calls for surprise, serendipity, and unexpected synchronicity.

In 1965 engineers aboard the DSV Alvin spotted a bizarre animal deep in the Atlantic Ocean. One of the men stated that it looked exactly like a plesiosaur (though others think its a seal_ and described it as over 40 feet long. It looked at the submersible before swimming away.
