Talk about most documented lol... Here's data from the Bolt Hunter @Healey_Photo was using at the time (in Night Mode). The brightest part of the return stroke lasted only 60 millionths of a second!

One of the most documented lightning bolts? I captured this in 4K at 120 fps from inside my car just north of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, on 4/26. The strike was so close I felt gravel hit my arm, and moments later I saw the road on fire.
Not long after, other storm chasers started reaching out about the bolt. I later got to see the same strike from the car behind me, captured by @300MphEF5, along with an incredible high-resolution photo from @Healey_Photo.
This was from the same storm that produced the twin tornadoes near Foraker just before.

Finally finishing a quick video to share soon combining the angles of the well caught strike that hit the road covered with storm chasers from the Foraker OK storm on 4/26. Strike caught from behind me by @300MphEF5 and from a nearby hill by @Healey_Photo! The strike hit feet away from me as I filmed it in 4K at 120 fps, so some incredible detail when I slow it down and zoom in!

I was in devastated Black River #Jamaica last night (in search of a new wheel for my car). The city is a shocking sight. But I'm happy to report the situation was under control: police & military all over; aid trucks everywhere giving out food, water, & care packages; mobile clinic folks tending to medical needs; & bulldozers already clearing the downtown area. Most importantly, the prevailing mood was calm. Residents seemed to have their hands full with supplies. Jamaica is going to need international help to fix this situation. But they've taken aggressive first steps on their own. 👊 #Hurricane #MELISSA
