Ya I know I’m always talking about how much racing costs compared to golf since it’s a topic so frequently brought up.
Said this for years about racing. Golf doesn't come close. Even factoring in a CC membership, still doesn't come close. I raced motocross, even professionally, you could buy an entire new full bag every weekend for a year and not get that close to a year's worth of racin.

New Orleans is a filthy shithole. It has a sticky oppressive heat 8 months out of the year, you don’t even want to get out of your car. Everywhere smells like mildew. Its culture is a street full of drunks that smells of piss and vomit. Louisiana overall is a horrible place
