Ethiopians drumming the drums of war. Claiming they have the right to sea access and threatening to use force to accomplish their expansionist dreams is a total and utter ignorance. We will never give them a centimeter square of our land, air, or sea.

Word for word. What a coincidence!
There has never been a time in #Ethiopia’s history without access to the Red Sea, except for the past 34 years. 🇪🇹🫡 We Ethiopians will never forget how foreign powers and local traitors conspired to make our country landlocked. By any means necessary, Ethiopia shall reclaim its rightful access, at the very least, Assab. Period. #Ethiopia #RedSea #Assab #NeverForget #HistoricalJustice

From the first ships that docked on African shores in the 15th century, the African continent has been the breeding ground for imperialism. The global capitalist system was built by exploiting our resources and people, with Europeans first seeking out gold in Africa. Europeans then began kidnapping and enslaving Africans, evolving into the systematic looting of land, minerals, and labour through military force to protect their ‘profits.’ Today, this system still operates, but it hides behind the polished language of ‘investment,’ ‘loans,’ and ‘development aid.’ Let's be clear: Africa is wealthy. According to the UN Environment Programme, our continent is home to 30 per cent of the world's mineral reserves, 8 per cent of the world's natural gas and 12 per cent of the world's oil reserves. Africa also holds 40 per cent of the world's gold reserves and up to 90 per cent of its chromium and platinum. The largest reserves of cobalt, diamonds, platinum and uranium in the world are also in Africa. Plus, Africa is home to 65 per cent of the world’s arable land. Western-backed financial institutions like the International Monetary Fund and World Bank impose structural adjustment programmes that gut public services and kill local industries. Our people suffer due to foreign debt that puts our governments’ budgets in the red, causing unemployment and expensive infrastructure projects that don’t benefit us. Further, comprador African leaders allow multinational corporations to extract raw materials at a fraction of their value. Every time Africa has tried to break free through Pan-Africanism, socialism or resource nationalisation, the West has blocked us. But in the past few years, people-backed coups d’état in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger have ousted Western-aligned leaders, expelled French troops, and formed the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). This anti-imperialist confederation is working to create a federal, Pan-African state that would eventually lead to a single governance for the whole continent. Meme credit: @africanlivesmatter1 (IG)

USAID-FREE ERITREA DOING BETTER THAN RECIPIENT AFRICAN COUNTRIES Here’s some useful information if you’re weighing in on the debate over whether the recent USAID cuts are a blessing or a curse. One African country that kicked out USAID in 2005 seems to be in better shape - at least by certain key measures - than some of those that still entertain the agency. Eritrea has built without begging, forcing its people to innovate, adapt and rely on African solutions. Could the rest of Africa learn from Eritrea’s model?

That’s what happens when people start to know the truth, they get banned!
African Stream has been banned by Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. We were censored after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made false, unsubstantiated claims against us on Friday. To be clear, contrary to the accusations, African Stream does not receive any funding from any state. We will shorty release a full statement regarding our work, our funding and these accusations. We are currently consulting our legal team to figure out how best to move forward. We thank all of our loyal followers and encourage those who want to hear our pan-African perspectives to join our Patreon and Telegram. (We are also still on TikTok and X - for now!) #WeAreAllAfricanStream
