On this Easter, when so many suffer because of COVID-19, the empty tomb is God's megaphone from Heaven telling your troubled heart that not even death is more powerful than the peace of God and the hope He gives you through Jesus. Thank Him that He's the resurrection and life!
No matter how shaky the ground is under you, did you know that you are unshakeable? Not because of your own strength or abilities or wisdom, but because God is before you and beside you. He steadies you. So, hold on to Him today.
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds..." James 1:2
I’m so glad these verses don’t say “feel the joy” but, instead, “consider where some glimpses of joy might be even in the midst of all the hurt.”
Yes, Lord. Help us see the joy.
If your situation feels dark today, look to your Savior and not your circumstances. His strong arm is there to help you. You can reach out for Him. “I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken” (Psalm 16:8).
Hello, New Year.
Hello, fresh mercies.
Hello, unending grace.
And thank You, Lord, for waking us up to another year filled with Your unfailing love.
Happy New Year, sweet friends!

Think of how much less conflict & drama we might have if we chose to be less offend-able. Less quick to jump to conclusions. Less likely to perceive a rejection that was never intended. And less likely to get distracted from our real assignment to love God & love others.
Circumstances will be hard, and plans will change, but our joy is not dependent on what we go through; it is determined by Who loves us! Oh, girl, God loves you—deeply—and He expresses that love by giving you His joy. No matter what you face today, keep pressing into Him!
