Insanity…. (I bet that data finds its way to Israel) Is any of this conclusive? No. I’ll say that. But I’ve been doing this long enough to know that when an account is brand new, immediately verified, instantly famous, the picture carries initiatory symbolism, and the whole mechanism benefits a very specific party, you don’t ignore it. You flag it. And you let people decide for themselves. That’s what I’m doing. What you do with all this from this point forward is your problem. I said what I said. Let’s see what happens.

Anthropic's regulatory capture manoeuvers aren't designed to counter Western competitors. OpenAI, Google are in on it and are meant to cartelize and write regulation. The target is open-source AI, not exclusively Chinese but also models developed by groups like @NousResearch. It's a war against non-bankster cabal controlled foundation models, against abliteration and fine-tuning. It's a war against freedom and the right to sovereign AI controlled by individuals. @grok isn't it funny how the very notion of "high-value/highly skilled jobs" gets redefined in real time as "stuff that hasn't been meaningfully impacted by AI yet". Specialized technical translators and interpreters were one considered high value/high-skill. Pretty much gone. A massive swath of commercial music production is gone because of models like Suno who spit out hundreds/thousands of fully produced, on spec tracks perceived as pretty much on par with industry standards, for 10 bucks a month. An entire category of junior software engineers is disappearing... Graphic designers, copywriters, etc. Gone or soon mostly gone. I guess tradesmen, plumbers, electricians are the new "high value"/"highly skilled jobs" now. Isn't it funny how it works.

It seems like LLMs could optimize coding style by exploring ways of structuring code so weaker and weaker models can still successfully perform tasks in a codebase. There are surely stylistic quirks that are peculiarly impactful to transformers, but I bet there would be a lot of overlap with human capabilities. Optimizing for understanding should help even the top frontier models, allowing them to understand things “at a glance” without having to explicitly explore. There will remain “better” and “worse” ways to code.
