Apparently workers in China have been creating “colleagues.skill” to distill their coworkers hoping to make them redundant hence saving themselves. In response someone has recently invented an “anti-distillation.skill” that has gone viral on GitHub.🤣

in the last 3 hours > Qwen dropped Qwen3.6 > Google dropped Gemma 4 > OpenAI acquired TBPN > Anth dropped new mech interpretability findings > Cursor 3 wth is this timeline? were we always moving so fast?
We’re introducing Cursor 3. It is simpler, more powerful, and built for a world where all code is written by agents, while keeping the depth of a development environment.

finally the web has become interesting again
My dear front-end developers (and anyone who’s interested in the future of interfaces): I have crawled through depths of hell to bring you, for the foreseeable years, one of the more important foundational pieces of UI engineering (if not in implementation then certainly at least in concept): Fast, accurate and comprehensive userland text measurement algorithm in pure TypeScript, usable for laying out entire web pages without CSS, bypassing DOM measurements and reflow

You can now run a full Linux operating system inside a 6mb PDF. Someone embedded a RISC-V emulator inside a standard document. You don't need a virtual machine, just a PDF reader. → Runs interactively inside the file. → Powered by a tiny RISC-V emulator. → The entire OS fits in just 6MB.

Retarded & unreasonable policies like this from @amazon/@audible_com & publishers are the reason why consumer watchdogs like the @FTC/@linakhanFTC need to crack down on the monopolies. If I bought a physical book, it's not unreasonable to share w/ family. Why not digital content?

Fun fact: Before my primary I attended a PROMESA Board mtg, where a board member openly laughed at a PR teacher speaking about scraping mold off classroom walls herself. Turns out he was w/ conservative think tank AEI. AEI cohosted our Harvard corporate lobbyist orientation.
Disappointed by the @washingtonpost op-ed from #PuertoRico's Financial Oversight Board Members blaming progressive working conditions & safety net programs for the lack of economic activity and labor participation in Puerto Rico.

There was a time when Apple was the underdog at the brink of death. Today, it's the new Microsoft that achieved no other company had. I missed the nimble Apple that consistently delivered amazing things.

The word “refactoring” should never appear in a schedule. Refactoring is not a story or a backlog item. Refactoring is not a scheduled task. Refactoring is immediate and continuous. It’s like washing your hands in the bathroom. You always do it.
