#UBC is the only institution to ‘do a double’ this year; there are a maximum of only 10 Fellows elected each year from Colleges and Universities across Canada. And it is the 3rd time in the last 7 years 2 UBC faculty have gained NTFs in the same year.
Two of this year’s 3M National Teaching Fellowship Award recipients are UBC faculty members: Paul Cubbon - Sauder School of Business Tiffany Potter - Department of English

Congratulations to all 2020 3M National Teaching Fellows, but especially to our 2 #UBC colleagues @paulcubbon (Sauder) and Tiffany Potter (English). So richly deserved for both of them! macleans.ca/education/introd…

This is so great to see. In my intro phys class this week, it is a consolidation week: no lectures and no new material. Time for students to catch up and catch breath. One student is doing a pop up review class for his peers in the lecture hall slot (and doing a great job at it)

Today I was delighted to learn that my #googlehome mini volume goes up to 11. Then devastated to find it has been **35 years** since I first heard that phrase…. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN??

The twitter world needs to hear about the course registration updates @marktmaclean posts on Reddit. My current favourite (in a long list) ‘no spaces in <course> unless the instructor can figure out how to make the superposition principle work on students.’
