i aimed a laser at a mirror fixed to a speaker cone. the sound vibrated the mirror, the mirror moved the light, the camera recorded what happened. the patterns produced by different frequencies resemble an unfamiliar written language, logograms reminiscent of chinese characters.

a language spoken by the music. the three photographs move from a simple signal through increasing complexity to something more open and resolved. the work came out of a residency with birmingham university medical school. simonpetergreen.com/djbeatma…

London is the greatest city on the planet. #coyi
London is the greatest city in the world - but we’re facing an unprecedented wave of online lies and disinformation. Today in Singapore, I launched a new campaign to fight the fake news and remind the world why there’s no better place to visit.

cycled 12 mls in barcelona yesterday. nou camp, parc miquil, fundació foto colectania, an excellent kebab, and the popes blessing at the inauguration of the sagrada família. sadly, the pope confessed to being a madrid fan… not a surprise. lot of energy in the streets last night.

We won sick pay, pregnancy protections and an end to no-fault evictions because workers and renters organised and demanded them. Now Reform UK's Great Repeal Bill pledges to scrap the Employment Rights Act, the Renters' Rights Act, and even the Equality Act that protects you from discrimination at work. Scrapping your rights won't lower your bills or raise your pay. It just hands power to bad bosses and rogue landlords. Workers across the country are putting posters up in their workplaces and telling Parliament: oppose the Great Repeal Bill. Take 30 seconds and sign the petition now: megaphone.org.uk/petitions/s…

privileged rich bigoted tossers up from surreh who speak their own language and wont mix with "the locals".... displacement and dispossession, cultural erasure, power imbalances... gentrification is colonialism.
Complaining about nightlife when you *checks notes* choose to live in Soho is like living in South Kensington and complaining about the museums.

Or moving to Hackney and grumbling about creatives. Living in Richmond and hating green space.

It's all getting a bit silly, isn't it?

"Educators matter more than ever. There is a reason why fascists and authoritarians target academics. Because they understand your power." @chilledasad100 Asad Rehman, CEO of Friends of the Earth UK, received a roaring applause as he delivered the keynote at UCU Congress 2026. . AITONA On 7 November 1938, Robert Capa photographed the Segre Front around Aitona, Catalonia. His original photographs appeared in Picture Post. Nearly 88 years later, I stood in the same places. See the complete series: simonpetergreen.com/aitona/ #nopasaran

You voted against scrapping zero hour contracts. You voted against banning fire and rehire. You voted against day one sick pay for workers. You said the minimum wage was too high for young people. Reform politicians openly say they don't like trade unions. You will always put the interests of your offshore crypto billionaire donors ahead of workers.
Reform is now the party of workers. Today I am inviting trade unions to apply for affiliation with Reform UK. We also welcome union leaders to attend our national conference in September and engage in discussions about the policies of a future Reform government.
