في وداع الإنسان (انتوني حجار) فارق دنيانا اليوم انتوني حجار مخلفاً فراغاً عريضاً وجرحاً عميقاً يصعب أن يندمل .. كان انتوني رمزاً لكل ما هو حسن وجميل .. جمع من الصفات والخصال ما يصعب أن يجتمع في بشر .. جمع انتوني في جسده النحيل وعمره القصير حب بلاده وحب الناس .. جمع الذكاء الوقاد وصفاء القلب وعفة اللسان وتواضع النفس والنأي عن الخوض في صغائر الأمور. أحب انتوني السودان حباً غير محدود، كان يصحو وينام وبتنفس حب بلاده .. تراه مهموماً بكل ما يمر بها من صعاب، ومتفائلاً بأن المستقبل سيكون أجمل وأفضل .. ظل انتوني يعمل من أجل وطنه في تفانٍ غير محدود .. لا يحب ان يذكر اسمه في أي عمل خير يقوم به .. ذكرت اسمه ذات مرة في سياق الامتنان لحسن صنائعه، فاتصل بي معاتباً بلغته المهذبة الرقيقة، قائلاً انه يفضل أن يعمل لوطنه دون ذكر لفضائل أعماله. خلال سنوات الانتقال القليلة ظل جندياً مجهولاً في السعي لبناء مستقبل أفضل للسودان .. سقط على فراش المرض وهو يعمل في ملف رفع السودان من قائمة الدول الراعية للارهاب وفي ملف اعفاء الديون .. عقب الانقلاب وبعد ان استرد بعضاً من عافيته عمل ليل نهار على استرداد المسار المدني الديمقراطي ومنذ اندلاع الحرب لم يغمض له جفن من اجل استعادة السلام في السودان. تحدثت اليه قبل ايام قليلة .. كان صوته واهناً ولكنه مهموم بشيء واحد .. ليس عافيته وسلامته بل عافية وسلامة السودان .. حدثني بلغة متفائلة كما هو عهده دائماً عن محاولات يقوم بها من اجل اسكات اصوات البنادق .. طلبت منه ان يرتاح قليلاً وان ما يهم الآن هو صحته وعافيته ولكن لم ادري انها ستكون اخر مرة استمع لصوته الخفيض المهذب .. فارق انتوني الحياة ولم يكن يظن أن جسده الطاهر سيدفن في تراب بعيد عن تراب السودان الذي أحب … فجيعتنا فيك كبيرة يا انتوني وجرحنا عميق .. لن توصفك كلمات ولن ينصفك حديث .. سنفتقدك كثيراً يا من كنت رمزاً للحسن والنبل والنقاء. على روحك الجميلة السلام ولها الرحمة ولاسرتك ومحبيك وعارفي فضلك الصبر والسلوان انا لله وانا اليه راجعون انا لله وانا اليه راجعون
