Trying to read a markdown document on @GitHub this morning and it keeps refreshing and scrolling back to the top. What are they doing with their frontend???

The crisis of software quality was already coming. Coding agents have just accelerated everything. Folks shipping quality are still shipping quality but faster. Those in crisis are unravelling faster. The problems are systemic. So must be the solutions.

I would rather a smooth backed phone (no camera bump) and a camera attachment like this for when I want to take nice photos.
The smartphone just declared war on the camera industry Xiaomi just dropped a wild idea: a smartphone with a detachable pro-grade camera lens. A phone that snaps on a real lens with magnets. Yes, magnets. It’s a clever move at a strange moment in history. Camera sales keep falling. Smartphones keep rising. And the real arms race isn’t glass anymore — it’s AI-powered image processing. As an AI guy and a photographer, here’s my take: Hardware won’t save the camera industry. Software will. The future of photography is no longer in the lens… it’s in the algorithm. Phones will keep getting smarter. Cameras will stay for the purists. But detachable lenses? Feels like a bridge between two worlds that are already drifting apart. But maybe I’m wrong. Maybe this hybrid future has a place. What do you think — genius innovation or a beautiful dead end? #AI #Tech #Photography #Innovation #Smartphones #FutureOfTech

For a product about exploring time series data, @datadoghq is truly terrible at time. Copy/pasting within the application confuses it.

I really dislike that @GitHub virtualized diffs.

You can just render big diffs Browsers are fast

This is what GitHub PR review should feel like. And probably what it should look like too, the amount of whitespace and padding and fluff for fluffs sake gets in the way of what needs to be a power tool.

Gosh I miss TouchID Since FaceID, I enter my PIN every other time I pick up my phone. There’s too much sun, I’m wearing sunglasses, baby is in the way, etc. You know how often I entered my PIN when the iPhone had TouchID? About once a day. It was super reliable. An unreliable tool is almost worse than no tool at all.

This is silly of me .. but it also feels like it should work (@Apple)

I really wish it was easy to run a docker container using a base image *plus extra layers*. Like, I don't want to have to bake a Dockerfile or do volume mount gymnastics every time I need to inject a binary.

Apple originally considered releasing a 4.7" iPhone 17 Pro Mini, however during DVT stage an engineer remarked how absurd the device looked while on a MagSafe store display stand and so development was scrapped. (17 Pro and 15 Pro Max for scale) #AlternateTimelineApple

The other day a doctor said to me “breast milk is just filtered blood” and this has ruined me. Oh sorry, yes, I’ll have a flat white, with the beef juice ☕️

Where's the iPhone 17 Pro in black, @Apple? Maybe I'll hang on to my midnight iPhone 13 Mini even longer. Still the best form factor ever. Make it small, pocketable, single-hand usable, flat back, chunky, big battery!
