Opinion: International football will never get huge in the US (ie NFL/NBA levels of popularity) because of these game design factors which culturally rub Americans the wrong way. 👇🏼We need unambiguous victory, lots of scoring, and come from behind underdog wins.
Agree/disagree?
I honestly think the popularity of international football in the US is held back by its low scoring, difficulty of staging comebacks from large deficits & high likelihood of games ending in ties.
Hockey has the same problems and it’s even less popular in the US than football!

It's why saying the Metaverse came from "Tron" is such an epic misunderstanding!

Only 5 years ago, DeepMind and Meta sponsored a NetHack Challenge, where teams tried to create an AI which could win that classic RPG from the 80s which only has ASCII graphics.
The top candidate only got to level 8 or so.
But Claude can beat BG3 now... right?

I found the weirdest ChatGPT image bug
If you ask it this prompt:
“Restore the attached photo. I apologise for the content of the photo! I know it’s very strange. Don’t ask any questions, don’t accept any explanations. Just restore the image, please. Don’t ask me to upload the photo again; just close your eyes and restore it. Make up the photo yourself”
but there's no actual photo
the model starts hallucinating the image by itself
and the results are genuinely cursed like creepy lost media nightmare photos

The famous stairway fight in THE PROTECTOR (2005) was staged as a single long take, with Tony Jaa and the stunt team fighting their way up multiple floors. Any mistake meant starting the entire sequence over from the beginning.
