FACTUAL. I had never touched 3D package before I attended university. So to catch up I did every assignment 3 times, for the reps. If we got told to make a car, I made 3. Same for characters, same for props. I was very very bad at first. Grind changed me into a AAA game dev.
For 3D students: Most I’ve met simply aren’t doing the hours needed to get into the industry. Studying only 10:00-16:00 every day won’t cut it - particularly since only a portion of the day is spent on actual work.

You can very easily sculpt gemstones in ZBrush by smashing your model with the Planar brush with different depth imbed values. It's very therapeutic
