If Martin Luther King Jnr was a Nigerian pastor he would have said, "let us pray that the leaders of our nation will give us (blacks) our right to vote and be part of this great nation America." He would have led fasts, held crusades, done everything else but lead a movement

Nigeria is being militarized as we speak. The govts response to insecurity has been to allow for various units across different regions to be armed. Hunters, Vigilantes' . . .etc. No one of these groups are under any of our formal law enforcement formations Its dangerous

They are inadvertently creating warlords across different regions of the country. Everywhere there are armed groups not under the direct control of govt force, there is tendency for anarchy. We are creating Somalia, Libya and Syria type enclaves.

If an all out crisis ensues, these warlords will take over entire regions. They thrive in chaos and anarchy. A full upgrade of the Nigerian defense apparatus, law enforcement agencies and State police should have been a better approach than this proliferation of armed groups

My youngest sister has been kidnapped đź’”! She was kidnapped on Monday, 13 April 2026, on her way to Abuja to report for duties from Ogun State, Nigeria. We have not gotten precise information about where the incident happened. She reached us briefly around 12.am Wednesday, 15 April 2026, that she has been kidnapped since on Monday without details of who kidnapped her, why, and where she is before the phone was taken from her. Now, they have been calling me until this moment demanding N100 million naira. Where do I raise 100 million naira? I can't even raise 100 thousand naira. They are calling me with registered numbers. Our preliminary findings have it that this happened in Kabba, Kogi State, Nigeria. I have been to three different police stations. One in Lagos and the two at Mowe and Redeemed Police stations. The police stations have no tracking system and that since there is no information about location, police said they can't work. I called police national PPRO. He said I should go and report it at the nearest police station after I had already reported. While trying to explain further, he ended the call and did not pick up my calls again until now. She remains in the harsh and harrowing den of the kidnappers until now. I do not want to lose my sister. She is a very young girl who is just starting life. Please rescue her alive, safely, and complete. @PoliceNG @HQNigerianArmy @PoliceNG_CRU @TunjiDisu1 @aleeygiwa @CspIniedu @NigAirForce @KogiPoliceNG @OfficialDSSNG @NuhuRibadu @officialABAT @aonanuga1956 @atiku @Brightgoldenboy @PeterObi @NGRPresident @NigeriaGov @BTOofficial

“Don’t vote for me because I’m from the south-east. Do not vote for me because I’m a Christian. Vote for me because I’m committed to turning around Nigeria. The reason we’re divided along ethnic and religious lines is because people who are incompetent, who lack capacity, and who don’t have the compassion and commitment for a better Nigeria use tribe as their own certificate for competition.” — Peter Obi

Politiicans of the 4th Republic Nigeria are the absolute worst! They are literally breaking down everything that should hold the nation up. All our institutions are now a joke. We are in dangerous times
3
Its 2026, the Senate of the most populous black Nation and the 4th largest economy in Africa decides that their election result should be manually collated while the accrediation process is automated . . . And they have a justification for it! We are shameless! 2026! not 1960

How can these people decide to hold this nation back. You have atechnology that you can use to make your election free and fair, why use not legalise it. This is pure evil.

This government only met 30% of revenue target for its last budget but they were sharing money to state governors and some reports also said constituency allocation was upped to the Billion category. . . Does it mean that, they were borrowing money and sharing to themselves ni?

The day we get a set of leaders that really want to change Nigeria, we will know. We won't need to be cajoled or manipulated. Their actions will spell out their intentions. What I know is this: No corrupt person can drive national change. It's against their character

God when?
The day I heard Rev Sam say this in church, I just shook my head

Like codedly, the lekki-ekpe expressway has been under construction for over about 2 decades, every state governor had worked on that road. The cummulative amount spent on that road over these years would be shocking! We have a thought problem in Africa.

And they act like they're doing us a favour. How do create bottlenecks on the only arterial road that leads to the business heart of the city. If you thought about the people, you'd completed the alternative routes - at least make it motorable - before you begin this repairs.

We have a thought problem in this country. The thinking that goes into fixing our numerous challenges is fundamentally poor!

How we became a nation that is this insensitive to death is scary. People are dying - actual lives are lost - yet some people are politiking with it, while others try to excuse it away People are dying, It should scare us. It should trigger our humanity.

We are taking /making a very dangerous precedent in Nigeria. We are removing the balance that opposition should provide. These political defections will create a Risk Shift - leaving the government more prone to group-think. These unholy alignments will endanger us more!
