I keep seeing people excuse this because of federal law when no law exists. The Trump admin tried to make this a federal Medicaid rule, but have been unsuccessful & the courts have blocked his attempts
When NYU & Sinai did it, it was complying in advance & this is no different

Neither the rule nor the EO are in legal effect. So, exactly as I said above, Mt Sinai, NYU, and now this clinic are all complying in advance.

Let's explain for the TERFs in the back: It is chemically and physically possible to change your secondary sex characteristics. It is not however possible to change the neurology that cements your gender identity. This has been known in the field since at least the 1980s.

Now that Platner has won the primary, I want to be clear. When I said “vote blue no matter who” in 2016, 2020, and 2024, I meant it. I’m worried about Platner, but if you say “vote blue no matter who” in Maine, I hope you’ll extend the same courtesy to other Dems. I hope we beat Collins.
