Soccer doesn’t need to be the #1 sport in the United States of America for us to be elite on the international stage (of course that would help). It needs to be structured well, developed well and coached well. It’s currently none of those three things, generally speaking, at the youth level.

There are no athletic scholarships in the Ivy League. None. In any sport.
What there is instead: need-based aid so generous it often beats the "scholarship" offer from a school chasing your son for his arm.
Your athlete's ability can open the door. His transcript decides how many doors open.
Trade the athletic ability for the academic excellence. The degree pays for forty years. The roster spot pays for four.
