At the same time that @taylorswift13 is performing to hundreds of thousands of #Swifties in Australia as part of her #ErasTour, native forest logging in Tasmania is destroying the breeding habitat of #SwiftParrots — and now there are just 750 of these Swifties left.🦜

Nothing but shame in this image. #nativeforestlogging has to stop in Australia @tanya_plibersek. Please.
A horrifying sight from the Styx Valley in lutruwita / #Tasmania last week, where a logger cut down this giant, ancient tree. This morning, #BobBrown is taking a stand in these forests to stop this destruction. Stay tuned for more details to come. #EndNativeForestLogging

A wonderful session on the critical role of First Nations communities in our energy transition. As an industry we need to ensure minimal harm to Country and maximum benefit to FN communities. Hope to see this topic headline #AllEnergyAU in 2023 @cleannrgcouncil

“The grid has to work for consumers…not some elegant market design.” Always a straight shooter @LilyDAmbrosioMP on the Vic Govt plans for the state’s #EnergyTransition @cleannrgcouncil #AllEnergyAU

This has to stop @DanielAndrewsMP - won’t get my vote this year. #ClimateEmergency

Victorians, because @DanielAndrewsMP chooses to ignore the science and continue to fund the logging of our precious forests, our drinking water is jeopardised, endangered species are under threat of extinction and carbon stores are released into the atmosphere #StopLogging

Had a great time speaking and listening at the @SmartEnergyCncl’s #StateEnergySummit in Melbs this week. Really top lineup of industry minds discussing the mess of our energy system and how we can fix it to work for everyone.

Replying to @NAB
Check out our video here: x.com/market_forces/status/1…

Our giant mural in #Melbourne might be funny, but @NAB’s funding for #fossilfuels is no laughing matter. Since 2016, NAB has loaned over $9.5 billion to coal, gas and oil. NAB must rule out funding companies and projects expanding the fossil fuel industry. #DontBankOnIt

Good morning. I’ve decided to start a daily reminder the UN says we can’t open up new coal, gas or oil fields if we’re to limit global warming to 1.5. & International Energy Agency says same. This should be in every story about new gas projects like @WoodsideEnergy’s Scarborough

We virtually sign on too! @eastgippyforest & @DanielAndrewsMP - penalising forest protectors is an attack on democracy.
Legal, human rights, and enviro groups sent an open letter today to get @DanielAndrewsMP to withdraw the bill aimed at wedging workers against forest protectors and further criminalising protest. Read our blog post here. Sign up ur org as well! tinyurl.com/2cd7wm2b

So proud Australia! I’m sorry I doubted us, we’re doing better than I could’ve ever imagined. #AusVotes22 for #climate and integrity! 🙌🙏🌏

Some things we love cannot vote. Vote for forests and reefs and all plants and animals that will face extinction without them. Vote @Greens. #auspol

Tomorrow, all I can hope is that Australians show our decency, intelligence and vision for a better future by voting this shameful bunch of politicians out.
In Opinion "Australia may serve not merely as a preview of climate peril, but of the risks faced by politicians who shrug it off," Van Badham, an Australian journalist, writes in a guest essay. nyti.ms/3lqrPl9
