It's happening!!! This is going to be a very busy rocket once online! Vulcan will likely for sure be the first orbital rocket to fly with US built ox-rich closed cycle engines, but will it be the first Methalox rocket to reach orbit... 🤔 The race is still on!

Parker: Boeing "has not redesigned the valves" on Starliner, "these are the same valves." "We have added sealant around the electrical connecter, which in the past" was an issue to moisture getting inside the valves.

Boeing’s Michelle Parker says the root cause is the mixture of NTO, ambient moisture, and aluminum housing the the valve that created the corrosion. Mitigations include efforts to reduce moisture, load NTO later, cycling the valves every few days.
