I think one of the most interesting parts of gen 6 of Pokemon is that you can very clearly tell that the legendaries they made for it were inspired by Hinduism, but nobody really picked up on it because everyone was hyperfocused on Norse mythology for some reason.

Wdym by “it begins”? 😭 Take away indian culture and religion (Hindu and Buddhist) influences from anime and you’re deleting half the lore. Chakra, mantras, karma, reincarnation… anime Naruto and JJK would’ve looked VERY different without Indian mythology
