Shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice of forest bathing is such a lovely concept.
In the cool woods this morning, I touched the springy soft moss on fallen branches and patted the gnarled bark of trees. The scent of wild garlic rose from snowdrifts of pretty white flowers.💚

Traditionally, on May Day, celebrations included dancing around the maypole and crowning a May Queen. 🌺
The earliest recording of dancing around the Maypole was in Wales in the 14th century, and this tradition soon spread.
