Public Affairs Officer and Spokesperson Gaïna Dávila and the Cameroon IVLP Alumni Association executive board met with a group of maritime officials who recently returned from the @StateIVLP on Maritime Port Security.
After in-depth exchanges with the @uscoastguard and various port, security, and trade experts across the United States, the new IVLP alumni are now working to recommend and implement practical strategies and policies to strengthen maritime security in Cameroon. These exchanges introduced participants to the U.S. perspective that maritime security plays a critical role in national security.

The U.S. embassy works every day to supercharge economic growth and boost bilateral cooperation in science, technology, and innovation. In August, we sponsored an IVLP OnDemand exchange for twelve Slovenian quantum experts to visit Colorado and California and share best practices in quantum technologies. Local experts from government, academia, and the private sector met with their U.S. counterparts at universities, research institutes, and private companies in Boulder and San Francisco to talk about how we can collaborate and grow our economies together.
