This is your friendly reminder to call your senators today, wherever you are, and urge them to prevent this multi-year funding scheme. The future of my lab, and so many others, rely on this 🙏🙏

“The new policy means that the number of grants that can be funded this year will drop dramatically. And that will decimate US biomedical science labs across the country, and set back medical research and cures for disease by years.” “Sources inside NIH say that this rigid and sweeping multi-year funding policy did not come from NIH, but instead from political appointees at HHS or the White House.” open.substack.com/pub/donmoy…

Fantastic work from @Jie_Immunology Proud to be a small part or this outstanding work.
We @WXQ_Micro are thrilled to share our new manuscript @ScienceMagazine , in which we uncovers a critical role for macrophage peroxisomes in lung repair after viral infection. Could targeting peroxisomes be the key to mitigating long COVID?! science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…

Was trying to fly @AmericanAir yesterday but flight was cancelled. Problems happen but the app did not help me rebook. They supplied a hotel and transport but spent almost a half hour on the phone with a rep to confirm the ticket and still can’t check in online. The app sucks!

I’s probably be dead at 23 like my grandmother if not for research conducted and funded by the #NIH which makes my very common blood clotting disorder EXTREMELY manageable. But yes, very pro life of the GOP to put on hold all NIH funding.

“Diversifying assets” sounds a little too much like DEI. So does “biodiversity.” Please try to refrain from anything that sounds like you are promoting diversity in your teaching and research.
