When the pandemic hit, I kept saying, "Don't worry, everything will be fine." I learned something valuable along the way. What I could do better than before. @mmhmmapp #betterthanbefore

Well said!
If, when you say regulation, you mean the dead and clammy hand of the commissar—the gentleman who has never in his life built a single thing, drafting rules to govern a thing he cannot define, to be enforced by men who cannot read them; if you mean the form in triplicate, the impact assessment upon the impact assessment, the compliance officer who breeds, in the warm dark of the org chart, further compliance officers unto the third and fourth generation; if you mean the moat—the deep cold moat that the giant digs around his own castle and christens, with a perfectly straight face, public safety—the drawbridge he hauls up behind himself the very instant he is across, lest any hungrier and hungrier man should follow; if you mean the precautionary principle, which, had it governed our grandfathers, would have banned the wheel pending further study of the hill, and left us yet shivering and raw in the mouth of the cave, blessing its excellent ventilation; if you mean the European disease—that magnificent open-air museum of a continent, which produces in our time precisely two things in great abundance, and they are regulation, and the eloquent and well-footnoted regret of cultivated men explaining at length why they have produced nothing else; if you mean the license required to think, the permission slip for honest arithmetic, the king’s wax stamp pressed upon the forehead of every new idea before it may draw its first breath; if you mean the agency dispatched, with trumpets, to slay a single dragon, which arrives at the cave, surveys the accommodations, and moves in—and spends the ensuing century laying eggs and devouring the very villagers it was sworn to defend; if you mean the startup that perishes not of the market’s honest verdict but of the filing fee, the genius decamping by the next tide to a freer and warmer shore; if you mean the law that arrives, faithful as the swallows, exactly one whole epoch too late—helmeted, plumed, and magnificently armed—to regulate the stagecoach—then certainly, my friends, I am against it. But—but, my friends—if, when you say regulation, you mean instead the humble steel guardrail upon the mountain road at midnight, the very thing you curse on the easy days and bless on your knees the one night the fog comes down; if you mean the brakes—for it is the brakes, and not the engine alone, that permit a sane man to drive fast and yet arrive alive—and the buttress, without which no cathedral was ever flung so high, but only in spite of which, but because of which; if you mean the meat inspector, who is the single homely reason a man may eat a sausage in this republic without first composing his last will and testament; if you mean the firebreak cut clean through the forest before the dry season of the burning, the smallpox cordon, the buoy that marks the channel, the rule of the road that lets ten thousand strangers hurtle past one another in the dark at fearful speed and arrive, by its quiet grace, every one of them home; if you mean the honest scale and the true weight, the reason a pound is a pound and a dollar a dollar from Natchez to Nome; if you mean the firm and decent wall between the counterfeit voice and the widow’s bank account, between the deepfaked candidate and the ballot box on the eve of the vote, between the loosed and loveless machine and the schoolyard it neither knows nor pities; if you mean the simple plank of law that says the strong shall not, in the gray dawn, feed the weak quietly into the furnace and sell the rising smoke as progress; if you mean, in the end, the one slender thread of trust without which no citizen will ever dare to use the marvelous thing at all—for where there is no rule there is no trust, and where there is no trust there is no commerce, and a miracle that no man dares to touch is no miracle, but only a handsome and expensive ghost—then certainly I am for it. This is my stand. I will not retreat from it. I will not compromise one inch of it.

What do you mean you’re not an XAO DAO member yet? You want a say in the direction of the XRPL, but your whole strategy is “I’ll be aggressively uninvolved.” Bold. Terrifying. Very crypto. 🤣
Your XAO DAO membership is an NFT on the XRP Ledger. That means it's verifiable, on-chain, and tied to your wallet. It represents your governance rights, your economic participation, and your place in the DAO. One NFT. One membership. Your voice!

I’ve had a number of conversations with folks inside and outside government about the current situation with Anthropic, and here is what I believe to be true: — As we know, Anthropic publicly released its Mythos class models earlier this week under the commercial name Fable. — Fable is Mythos with guardrails. But if those guardrails fail, then you’ve exposed Mythos and its advanced cyber capabilities to people who shouldn’t have them. (Keep in mind that Anthropic itself widely promoted the idea that Mythos was a cyberweapon and needed to be regulated as such. They asked for government regulation of Mythos and championed the guardrails on Fable. If there is a vulnerability — big or small — it is Anthropic’s responsibility to patch.) — A highly credible trusted partner of both Anthropic and the USG who was testing Fable came forward with a jailbreak of those guardrails. The Admin asked Dario to fix the jailbreak or de-deploy the model. Dario refused. — In their blog post, Anthropic defended its decision by saying the jailbreak isn’t serious. That is not what the trusted partner and the USG believe; nor is that kind of minimizing language consistent with Anthropic’s brand as the AI safety company. It’s difficult to fathom how they could claim a jailbreak allowing operability of a cyber weapon could be defined as not “serious.” — In the past, Anthropic has always said that safety must be top priority and taken super seriously. In this case, Anthropic prioritized the continued offering of the consumer model over safety. — In reaction, the Admin issued the export control. The Admin did this reluctantly. It’s been very surprised that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to cooperate with a reasonable safety request (ie fixing the jailbreak issue). Anthropic’s reaction is very much at odds with their branding and ethos as a safe AI research community. — The Admin’s hope now is that Anthropic remediates the safety issue, the export control is lifted, and Fable goes back into general release. The Admin wants all of this to happen as soon as possible. It is frankly bewildered that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to comply with safety requests that it previously said were its highest priority. — Those trying to misdirect and tie this action to the prior DoW/Anthropic issues are wrong. The Admin values Anthropic’s technical capabilities and feels that this issue, while serious, should be easily resolved. The ball is in Anthropic’s court.

Elon Musk is an N=1. People act like his success is easily repeatable. If that’s true, why don’t the other 8.1 billion people on Earth have the same results?
In 30 days @SpaceX went from zero presence in AI compute to the number 4 hyperscaler globally, passing Oracle. The trailing multiple compressed from 100x to 39x in the same window. Brad (@altcap), @GavinSBaker and @_clarktang break down the @Cursor acquisition, the orbital compute case, and why they believe the model story is the most underrated part of the IPO.

1/6 @ashgoblue sat down with @FintechFrank on the @GSR_io podcast to break down what it actually takes to move financial markets on-chain. Start here: why XRP? It moves tokenized value efficiently and has an exchange built into the ledger. But the real moat is the years of licensing and bank connections Ripple laid down. That connective tissue to the real world can't be shortcut. 🧵👇 This content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice. 🚨Big Scoop Exclusive @CantonNetwork Interview Published Today🎉 Why Did @YuvalRooz Come to Japan? Digital Asset CEO Yuval Rooz flew to Tokyo, late May, for high-level meetings with the Central Bank of Japan, FSA, and top Japanese banks. THE MISSION: accelerate Japan’s major proof-of-concept on Canton Network for tokenized Japanese Government Bonds (JGBs). Japan is moving fast. Mizuho BANK, Nomura, and JSCC (Japan’s central securities clearer) selected Canton, with FULL BACKING from the regulators (FSA), to digitize collateral management using JGBs, the world’s second-largest government bond market with $1.5 trillion daily repo volume. Why Canton over Ethereum? 1. Selective privacy 2. 100% issuer control 3. Neutral governance This is exactly why JP Morgan, HSBC, Visa, and Nasdaq already use it. Rooz’s team deliberately focused on “behind-the-scenes infrastructure” for traditional finance rather than retail hype. Rooz’s vision: the “Internet of Finance” - connecting independent sovereign networks while preserving full autonomy. Canton already generates more real transaction fee revenue than Ethereum or Solana. “As a decisive milestone, in October 2026, the project of DTCC, the world's largest securities clearing house, will become fully operational on Canton. This will be a huge turning point in the history of global finance.” 👉The infrastructure shift institutions have been waiting for is happening now. #CC @nadanews_com By Yuki Hashimoto June 11, 2026 09:00 Full Article in Japanese: nadanews.com/353493/

A quick first update on the XRPL node documentation project with @daniel_wwf 👇 We've now completed interviews with two node operators, with more lined up next week and hopefully more to follow in due course. Early findings are largely as expected: plenty of opportunities to improve documentation, a few surprises along the way, some encouraging, some highlighting gaps that need attention. One thing is already clear: documentation is never "finished". Our biggest challenge will be staying focused on the core milestones we've already identified while resisting the temptation to chase the growing list of additional improvements and ideas already emerging from our research. Structure, navigation, and audience targeting remain some of the toughest problems to solve, but we're making solid progress and remain on track for EOY delivery. Lots to do. Lots to learn. Lots of value to unlock for node operators across the ecosystem. Thanks to @XRPLF, @Vet_X0 and @angell_denis @MollinBrett for their support. This is just the beginning. 🚀 Make sure you’re following both Daniel and myself for further updates as we progress.
