Coronary Risk Zone (CRZ) denotes the zone that you MUST measure the valve to coronary/aorta/STJ distance to assess coronary obstruction risk. The minimal distance is what matter most. #EuroPCR 2025 Major Late-Breaking Trials – One-month dual antiplatelet therapy followed by prasugrel monotherapy at a reduced dose
Results of the 4D-ACS randomised trial show that, at 12-months, NACE occurred in 4.9% of the 1-month #DAPT group and 8.8% of the 12-month DAPT group, meeting criteria for both non-inferiority and superiority. Major bleeding occurred in 0.6% vs 4.6% (HR 0.13; p=0.007) in the 1-month DAPT vs 12-month DAPT group, respectively. Ischaemic outcomes were similar in both groups.

Leaky blood-brain barrier in long-COVID associated brain fog
This study confirms everything I have seen in the microscope over the last few years.
They use a technique called dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI), an imaging technique that can measure the density, integrity, and leakiness of tissue vasculature.
Comparing all individuals with previous COVID infection to unaffected controls revealed decreased general brain volume in patients with brain fog along with significantly reduced cerebral white matter volume in both hemispheres in the recovered and brain fog cohorts
#Covid_19 induces brain volume loss and leaky blood-brain barrier in some patients. How can this be more clear?

It was with deep sadness that PCR and the interventional community learnt today of the sudden passing of Alain Cribier.
Professor Cribier changed the face of cardiology forever by creating the transcatheter aortic valve #TAVI, but above all he was a true gentleman, a kind-hearted and generous person, who endeared himself to his colleagues and cared deeply about his patients.
Our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to Alain Cribier's family, colleagues and loved ones - may he rest in peace.

Jean-Philippe Collet exemplified genuine courtesy, lacking any celebrity demeanor. He was approachable and had the ability to make conversations comfortable—a notable trait in our setting. Despite not portraying star-like behaviors, he achieved star status through contributions such as ARCTIC, ATLANTIS, and the 2020 ESC NSTE-ACS guidelines. For those passionate about antithrombotic therapies, he served as a pivotal reference. Regrettable loss.
