I'd accuse my son of trolling me if he didn't absolutely nail it #AcademicTwitter

Can anyone recommend interesting non-fiction pod casts? I've never listened to one before but I'm looking for something to listen to at a time when I can't read.

It's been almost 10 years since one of my most embarrassing fundraising moments as a founder. A moment so embarrassing that I couldn’t talk about it for years. It taught me the difference between raising a Seed round and a Series A, as well as some well needed humility.🧵👇

Here is a tip of the hat to all of the volunteers out there reviewing papers for top conferences. It's easy to get jaded when you get bad reviews, but the PCs for both Usenix Security and OSDI have been amazing. So much thought and rigor goes into decisions, y'all should be proud

The periodic reminders that we are hiring will continue until enough people have joined the team. 😊 If you're a systems programmer or programming languages/compiler person who wants to help us build a better API observability tool, I'd love to hear from you. Please share!
I was told to make it more clear we're hiring, so: My name is Jean Yang (🚨 WE ARE HIRING!!! 🚨). I am the founder and CEO of @AkitaSoftware. We're building a new kind of API observability tool that catches breaking changes sooner. Join us! Please share. jobs.lever.co/akitasoftware/…

If you like Twitter and you like web coding, it’s currently a good time to join. The team is expanding, there’s a bunch of new features in the works, the team is small so you’ll be surprisingly impactful, and the code is a joy to work with*.

It’s amazing what a group of disparate, diverse upstarts with a shared desire for free, sound money and laser eyes can accomplish. Proud of you.

It originally stood for Low Level Virtual Machine, signifying a virtual instruction set. The acronym is deprecated because many people misinterpreted it as a (language) virtual machine infrastructure. Now it’s just a name 😅

My father, Edmund M Clarke, passed away from Covid today. He won the 2007 Turing Award for computer science. While he always had high expectations when it came to academic success, he also taught me to hit baseballs, to fish, and to travel worldwide. I will miss him dearly.
