Not only that, if it happens early in the morning they won't be able to fix it until after 9am leaving you with no means for onward travel if you had say the tube on it too. You have to pay and claim back and that takes months and it's treated as your fault!

Don't believe @GWRHelp staff at @NetworkRailPAD when they tell you if a machine freezes mid-transaction and fails to deliver ticket GWR won't collect payment. It is not automatically reversed. Machines fail sometimes, that's fine. The lack of interest by onsite supervisor is not.
