In a political career defined by grotesque statements, this president’s horrifying, illegal, and genocidal threat this morning is among the most dangerous and appalling.
You can’t shout “fire” in a crowded theater and a president cannot be allowed to threaten genocide with the United States military. Threats of war crimes and disregard for human life must be met with accountability under the law.
Trump must go—and Republicans, whether in the Cabinet or Congress, must join Democrats in using any and all constitutional powers at our collective disposal to end this illegal war and take the gun out of this madman’s hands.

Jimmy Kimmel tried to clean up his comments about Markwayne Mullin being a former plumber, but he tried to have it both ways. First he doubled down ignoring Mullin's management experience with his plumbing company "[Trump's] apple polishers are all in a tizzy because I made light of the fact that his new head of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, before he was a senator, was a plumber. And now he's the head of Homeland Security. Which is not necessarily the kind of resume you might hope for, for the person in charge of protecting us from terrorism"
Later, he insists it has nothing to do with plumbers and is just about his ideas, "Let me make this very clear. I'm not upset that the head of Homeland Security used to be a plumber. I'm upset that he isn't still a plumber, okay?"
Then why even mention the plumber aspect?

Rest in Peace, Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shah 🇺🇸
Lt. Col. Shah was shot and killed during a terror attack on the campus in Virginia this morning. The gunman, now identified as a convicted ISIS supporter released from prison early, was neutralized by a ROTC student armed with a knife before being able to continue on his rampage.
Shah was a Professor of Military Science and was assigned as the leader of Old Dominion University’s ROTC program. He was also a veteran of several military operations, to include Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Atlantic Resolve.
Sha received a Bachelor of Science from ODU in 2007, an MBA from the University of Georgia in 2018, and a MS in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas in 2019, according to the Old Dominion University Alumni Association.
Two other people were wounded in the attack, although their condition remains unknown. 🙏🇺🇸
