This weekend I was in Scottsdale, Arizona. Beautiful views on my morning walks and I got to see one of my favorite buddies from college, Joe Tomory, originally from Buffalo. Joe recently retired from the Phoenix Police Department after a distinguished career, including serving as a Homicide Detective. Great catching up with an old friend! #MercyhurstFootball #STUMiami #BobcatNation

How awesome is this? Miami-Dade County Commissioner and STU Special Assistant to the President, Oliver Gilbert, recently had a papal visit with Pope Leo XIV, an Augustinian. As many know, STU was founded as Biscayne College, an Augustinian college for men. Oliver had the opportunity to present Pope Leo with gifts from STU. A truly special moment connecting our Augustinian roots with the Holy Father! @VaticanNews @Ogilbert @CatholicMiami @Pontifex #STUMiami #BobcatNation #Augustinian #PopeLeoXIV #BiscayneCollege

On May 20th, the 1st Lady Leslie and I saw one of our favorite comedians, Jim Breuer, perform at The Parker in Fort Lauderdale, our first time at that theater. A New Yorker who now calls Florida home, Jim had us belly laughing all evening. The bonus? No swearing, no off-color jokes, and no sexual pandering. Just great, well-thought-out stand-up, unbelievable impressions, funny sound effects, and a very uplifting ending. Highly recommended! @JimBreuer #STUMiami #BobcatNation #JimBreuer #FortLauderdale

Today, we proudly celebrate the 251st Birthday of the @USArmy and honor the generations of soldiers who have answered the call to serve our nation. For 251 years, the Army has stood as a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. We are grateful to the brave men and women who have worn the uniform and to the families who have supported them every step of the way. Today also marks Flag Day, a reminder of the freedoms, unity, and hope represented by the American flag—values that generations of service members have worked to protect.

Protesters are standing outside JPMorgan Chase in New York this weekend, holding giant banners that say “STOP ELON • NO TRILLIONAIRES” and “ELON IS STEALING YOUR PENSION” These people are protesting the greatest success story in modern history. Let’s look at the actual reality: • Elon has already paid more in taxes than almost anyone alive • Tesla and SpaceX employ well over 100,000 people and actively push humanity forward. • Through DOGE, he already helped cut billions in wasteful government spending. That saved taxpayers hundreds of billions.....meaning he actually helped secure grandmas' pensions by slashing bureaucracy, not the other way around. • Friday's historic SpaceX IPO didn't "steal" from anyone. It created massive value, turned everyday workers into millionaires, and rightfully made him the world’s first trillionaire He didn’t steal anything. He built it from the ground up His companies have created massive job growth, accelerated sustainable energy, and are literally building the infrastructure to make humanity multi-planetary Rather than celebrating excellence, demanding the government punish it is pure evil

Time is short, and the times are urgent. Far more than hearing constant “dialogues” and “debates,” we need to spend as much time as possible feeding our intellects and hearts with the sources of the Faith: Scripture Fathers Saints The Scriptures come alive like never before through the writings and witness of the Fathers and Saints. The truth becomes more obvious and undeniable when you spend time with the Holy Ones, through whom the mysteries of Sacred Writ become manifest in word and deed. If you have several hours any given day or evening to explore issues related to theology and the true faith, my recommendation is to spend the vast majority of it in these sources. It will do you far more good than almost every other form of content available on social media, and you can actually be assured you’re engaging with someone who knows what they are talking about.

On June 13, 1777, a 19-year-old French teenager landed on a beach in South Carolina, uninvited, to fight in someone else's war. He would become one of the most important men in American history. The Marquis de Lafayette was one of the richest young aristocrats in France. He had a beautiful wife, a fortune, and zero reason to risk any of it. But he believed in the American cause so fiercely that when the French king forbade him from going, Lafayette bought his own ship and sailed anyway. He literally went AWOL from a life of luxury to bleed for a country that didn't exist yet. Congress was annoyed at first. Another foreign officer looking for a paycheck? Then Lafayette offered to serve for free and pay his own way. That got their attention. He met Washington and the two formed one of the great father-son bonds in American history. Washington had no biological children. Lafayette named his only son George Washington Lafayette. He took a bullet in the leg at Brandywine and kept rallying the retreat. He was instrumental at Yorktown, the battle that won the war. He went home a hero on two continents. A foreign teenager believed in America before America did. 249 years ago today.

Scott Jennings nailed the liberal meltdown over Elon Musk, becoming the world’s first trillionaire: “All day long, I’ve been listening to liberals count and spend Elon’s money for him. This envy, jealousy, hatred of success. Why is it immoral? Why is it wrong for somebody in our system… to build companies, build technologies, go into space, aim to put a colony on Mars, give internet to half the world?” The outrage isn’t about “fairness”, it’s envy dressed up as virtue. Success that creates jobs, technology, and real progress threatens a worldview built on grievance and zero-sum thinking. Elon Musk is the shining example of immigration done right. A legal immigrant who came to America, worked relentlessly, took enormous risks, and built companies that deliver massive value to humanity. Not by taking from others, but by creating wealth that didn’t exist before. Success isn’t a crime. It’s the American Dream in action. Congratulations, @elonmusk, well earned. Keep building. 🚀

This is the dichotomy of our country. People criticizing the Great American Story is heartbreaking in a way. For politicians who have never produced anything for anyone in their lives criticizing financial success is counter to the American Dream. Is it jealousy? Envy?
.@BernieSanders , it is a time to celebrate. @elonmusk has created enormous value for society by building @SpaceX, driving down the cost of rocket launches and creating a global satellite communication network that has brought high speed, low-cost internet and communication access to hundreds of millions and eventually billions of people along with critical advantages for our military and our nation’s defense. SpaceX and its technologies will cause an acceleration in the growth of wages and wealth creation globally, including in some of the poorest communities in the U.S. and around the world. Access to low-cost, high speed communications everywhere will allow children around the world to be educated, families to build businesses, and life-saving medical knowledge and care to be available everywhere. SpaceX will materially bring down the cost of compute, advancing AI and humanity. Meanwhile, 4,000 SpaceX employees yesterday became millionaires, including hourly wage employees who you claim you are trying to help. The Elon Musks of the world drive growth, global GDP, and provide access to goods and services at lower cost that would otherwise not exist. Elon’s nominal trillionaire status is due to his ownership of SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, the Boring Company and his other initiatives that have brought new technologies that improve our everyday lives. Elon is not sitting on a trillion dollar pile of cash, jewelry and gold. He is using his controlling stakes in his companies to advance mankind. Elon’s companies don’t pay dividends. They reinvest all of their capital to accelerate innovation and value creation. Elon is working 24/7 for all of us. He deserves respect and appreciation, not smears. Bernie, your socialism would never allow a SpaceX to be built. Socialism has only proven to impoverish mankind and lead to death and destruction. We need to create the conditions for more SpaceXs to be built, not attack the great entrepreneurs who are helping to advance our country.

Was just on a plane & the guy next to me displayed the announcement acting all disgusted. Figured he wouldn't listen to my answer about the importance of hard work, sacrifice, perseverance & brilliance. Getting smarter as I age I guess.
The first trillionaire in human history - Elon Musk - Born in South Africa - Bullied relentlessly as a kid - Immigrated to North America - Arrived with a backpack and a dream - Built Zip2 with his brother - Sold it 4 years later for $300 million - Co-founded PayPal with the profits - Revolutionised digital payments - Sold PayPal to eBay for $1.5 billion - Bet everything on Tesla and SpaceX - Got mocked for electric cars - Got laughed at for reusable rockets - Nearly went bankrupt in 2008 - Kept building anyway - Turned Tesla into the world’s most valuable automaker - Made EVs mainstream and transformed the automotive industry - Made reusable rockets a reality - Reduced the cost of reaching space by 95% - Sparked the modern commercial space race - Built Starlink and connected millions around the world to high-speed internet - Turned SpaceX into the most valuable private company in history - Bought Twitter for $44 billion - The world said he overpaid - He was called reckless, stupid & crazy - Advertisers fled, media declared it dead - Critics called it the worst acquisition in tech history - Renamed it 𝕏 - Rebuilt the platform anyway - Turned it into one of the most influential platforms on Earth - Launched xAI and accelerated the global AI race - Sent astronauts to space - Is trying to get humans to mars - Created millions of jobs - Generated hundreds of billions in value - Inspired an entire generation of builders Before: - Failed repeatedly - Worked insane hours - Slept in factories and offices - Got bullied, laughed at and mocked - Constantly told “it’s impossible” - Kept building anyway - Made it possible Today: - Richest person on Earth - First trillionaire in human history - Largest IPO in history $1.77 trillion Most people quit when the world laughs at them. Elon Musk built the future instead. Love him or hate him… Nobody has changed more industries in a single lifetime. Payments. Cars. Energy. Space. Social Media. Communications. AI. History won’t remember the people who said it couldn’t be done. It will remember the people who did it anyway. Congratulations Elon. The first trillionaire. 🚀
