About to watch the World Cup in the pub when a fella said to me ‘I bet you can’t name 3 Qatar players’
I replied - George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton

On the River Chess we are seeing our watercress dying. The plants are under attack from this insect, looks like a beetle larvae. Speaking to experienced watercress growers they tell us this is new to them. Only impacting watercress. @bugsymac1@Buzz_dont_tweet@WildTroutTrust

It's going to be Great.
Both of these have been on earth a while now but the damage one apparently causes can be put right by buying some carbon credits and planting some trees that may die. The others naturally create carbon capture by eating grass that regrows but they are the problem. Are we mad!!?

Joy at Abberton Reservoir where for the third spring out of four we’ve caught this Nightingale that was originally ringed in The Gambia in January 2020. Now 7 years old and still going strong. Just brilliant! 🇬🇲🇬🇧
I'll be doing the bird bit, Hedgelife will do the other and somewhere we'll meet in the middle.
Lunch provided!

For #FindsFriday, I'm gifting you this fantastic Bronze Age felled tree we’ve just excavated from #Skipsea in Holderness. The marks of the socketed bronze axe are clearly visible, and the thud of the axe is almost audible. Used - we think - as a post, perhaps for a trackway.
