During the Hiyaa flat application, I was working at Velana International Airport as a resort representative, but I was disqualified because my company was registered in Noonu Atoll and my job was treated as island/resort work, even though I actually worked in Greater Malé. I submitted a complaint but never got a response. Later, the final lists changed very little under the next government. I believe both governments failed to properly fix the issue. The reality is I don’t have a real home. On my island I have only a sofa at my grandmother’s or aunt’s place. If I apply there, I’m told I don’t live there.
