Just reading a chapter from @suestuartsmith book & learned that there are 2 patron saints of gardening! St Fiacre & St Phocas.
A quick google & do you know what? It’s the official feast day of St Fiacre!
Coincidence or what!

🪴 Drawing inspiration from author and psychiatrist @suestuartsmith's session at ORFC earlier this year, the SFT's Alice Frost considers the restorative power of gardening and green spaces for our physical and mental health.

Good to be home and to find such an abundance of Spring flowers in the garden. I had so many wonderful experiences when I was in the US. Huge thanks to #Gardenconservancy@GCOpenDays for organising such a great #thewellgardenedmind book tour.
A morning wandering in rain through the many different gardens @TheHuntington. The scale of the place and variety within is extraordinary.
Especially loved the Japanese garden with the wonderful Red Earth sculpture by @litaalbuqsrudio in the bamboo grove.
Created 50 years ago by opera singer Ganna Walska, Lotusland garden near Santa Barbara is supremely theatrical with tree ferns, cacti and aloes playing the starring roles. Loved visiting yesterday and last talk on my Garden Conservancy book tour is today at @EbellofLA
