1. I don't think people realize just how expensive electricity used to be.
Real electricity prices are HALF of what they were in 1960.
The "good old days" of "cheap coal" is just cheap propaganda.
When people complain about the amount of mining (lihtium, copper etc) needed to enable the transition from fossil fuels to batteries... just show them this graph from FutureCrunch
Total transition mineral mining needed is 0.186% of the coal, gas, and oil extracted every year
Not sure there's a single chart that better summarizes the relentless improvement of batteries.
Costs down over 90%, energy density up ~5X. In just over 20 years.
Innovation is incredible.

Like it or not: Germany’s energy system is fully operational, with more than 50% renewables. And we are shutting down – not building – coal & nuclear plants. Coal will be off the grid by 2038 at the latest. PS: We also don’t eat cats and dogs. #Debate2024
THIS IS A HUGE ACHIEVEMENT:
The EU now generates more electricity from wind and solar than from fossil fuels.

Wow... CrowdStrike is attempting to take down the mildly insulting parody website ClownStrike[dot]lol for trademark infringement 🤡
It would be awful if this caused a Streisand Effect and everybody went to this website and realized how much this company sucks and then stopped using their Falcon Sensor and then their stock went down more.
There is a lot happening in the news these days, but it seems like we should be paying a bit more attention to the fact that the world just saw its hottest day on record (in absolute terms), coming on the back of 13 straight record setting months:
My friend's husband is in a mobile air defense 🇺🇦 that urgently needs to upgrade equipment. Their main mission is to combat drones deployed by russia to target infrastructure in Ukraine.
