I studied a 4 year MSci Psychology course at the University of Birmingham 3. In my fourth year at university I did a placement with an educational psychology service 4. During university, I did an internship at Birmingham Children's hospital and other volunteering work with children 5. I then worked as an assistant psychologist in an educational psychology service for two years, before getting on the doctorate course. Amber's top tip: Try to get as much experience working with children as possible, and never give up!
