Eh? This feels like treachery @irnbru
We're delighted to announce a new five-year partnership with Pepsi Max, officially becoming the soft drinks partner of the Scotland Men’s and Women’s National Teams @PepsiUK 🙌

Quite interesting how defensive folk have got over this image. There is a reason it was created in the first place, and many of the replies confirm that. Also interesting that many of those replying *appear* to be pro-independence. Not really selling it to me.
This is such a powerful image from @ScotRuralAction No wonder rural Scotland is only heard when we have something to complain loudly about!

Seeing lots celebrating diversity in Holyrood. Happy to be corrected but I think this is the first parliament with no fluent Gaelic speakers.

Hadn’t seen this tweet but appeared on my timeline immediately after I posted 😂
With Eilidh Munro just loosing out, this will be the first Scottish Parliament in history, including pre-union, with no Gaelic speaking representatives.

Lots of remote commentators raging that Alliance to Liberate Scotland ‘cost’ the SNP the Eileanan An Iar seat (there is no Western Isles constituency). Maybe it was a decent guy that stood for Labour? Maybe it was ferries? Maybe it was central belt ignoring us? Na, of course not.
The SNP lost the Western Isles to Labour by 154 votes. The Alliance to Liberate Scotland won 159 votes. If the SNP fall one seat short of a majority, expect fingers to be pointed within the independence movement Live updates here ⬇️ thenational.scot/news/260884…

I’m sure the mainland ferry experts already know this, but here are *some* of the ongoing issues with Western Isles ferries.

I assume this is an islander making a superb joke at the fact that most of Lewis has postcode that starts HS2. Or maybe just an ignorant individual?

Salted and boiled, not roasted.
Replying to @sweenyness
Because the decision to keep this appalling destruction is not made Na h-Eileanan An Iar. As the planet dies, we all have to endure thick as pig shit men do their absolute worst, because? tradition maybe. Tasty roast gannet chicks? Fucking awful way to live.

Why has this person chosen to stand in Edinburgh and not Na h-Eileanan An Iar? Is it because he can’t find us on the map? Or is it because he thinks people don’t actually care about island communities and he won’t be challenged by an uninformed electorate?
Why is a man in a giant bird suit standing for Holyrood? Robert Pownall of @ProtectTheWild_ explains why Story in thread @heraldscotland

Dripping in hatred. Supports independence, of course, but only if H&I are his free playground. And famously, only “Gallic” schools receive government funding. The rest run on the tears of non-centralbelters.
OK every time you leave the Highland and Islands you pay £20 per day? Oh and no more subsidies from the central belt. That includes the ferries, that receive the highest subsidies on planet earth. Kiss goodbye to your free ferry passes and bus travel too. Oh dear no more subsidised Gallic language schools!

These anti-independence trolls need light shone on them. Who are the English colonialists that have made me and other islanders their “hoosejock pets”. What does that even mean? 😂

This is EXACTLY the same lines you hear about unionists discussing Scotland. Toxic indy-splaining

Another expert, indy-splaining ferries to a master mariner. How does gaslighting island communities help independence?
First caller on Radio shortbread this morning on ferry’s slot. Master mariner Shona from Stornoway complaining ferry didn’t sail yesterday due to weather conditions! Then implied that no ferry to Uist. There is a smaller ferry running whilst the regular one in for annual docking.

This account has appeared on my timeline defending ferry stats at numerous points recently. I now realise the person knows nothing, given there is no ferry from Uig to Barra.
Foot passengers can travel, from Uig?

I’m assuming this man of the people isn’t stupid, just playing ignorant for a wider audience. I wasn’t diagnosed ADHD until I was 39. I’m now aware of umpteen others in a similar position.
This is the definition of more of the same. For real change, we need a wake-up call: how has the proportion of Scottish pupils with additional support needs increased from just 5% when the SNP came to power, to 43% and rising today?
