Men talk tough while “cowboying.” Beth and girlboss Beulah take a private jet to a business meeting. The murderer from episode one is back, but all he does is talk and smoke cigarettes. We see how ranchers process cattle. Tough cowboys call each other handsome. Carter and the foulmouthed girlfriend go fishing. The Cuban son buys a hat. The girlbosses meet with a BLACK MILLIONAIRE RESTAURANTEUR. Beulah's murdering son buys automatic weapons… …but still no sign of a plot or throughline, or forward-moving story. There is a violent attack and another murder at the end, but it's too little too late. Look, I get that this show is an appreciation of "the Cowboy Way of Life," but come on! It still needs to be about something to keep general audiences engaged. Only 3 more episodes before the season ends, and I can tell you right now that I won’t be back for season two. Nothing is happening. I don’t really like anyone. And there’s no HERO for me to root for. My TV is BROKEN.
