Tonight’s matchup with Georgia in the CWS means @OU_Baseball has now faced the ACC regular season & tourney champs (GT), the Big 12 regular season & tourney champs (KU) and the SEC regular season & tourney champs (UGA) in this year’s NCAA Tournament. @news9

Except everything in the stadium is required to be neutral… At the point in the year when visibility is at its highest, the NCAA dumbs-down the product to the lowest point of the year. Postseason should showcase the best of athletics environments and help grow the game.

Skip Johnson on JUCO players: "I was a junior college coach for 16 years, and I think what really stands out to me is most of those guys are tougher... Our plan for the coming days: We‘ll be staying in Texas for a few more days and return to Houston on the 17th for the Portugal vs Congo match. After that match we‘ll jump straight into the car to start driving towards Oklahoma City for the Ella Langley concert on the 18th.

A new rivalry may be developing between Alabama and Oklahoma 👀 The two schools have faced off in both the College Football Playoff and College World Series in the 2025-26 athletic season, and have had major regular season matchups in the past few years as well. 🏈 2024: 5-win Oklahoma shocked Alabama 24-3, giving the Tide their third loss and eliminating them from College Football Playoff contention. 🏈 2025: Oklahoma beat Alabama 23-21 on the road in Tuscaloosa to keep their CFP hopes alive. This is the only game Alabama lost at home in the last two seasons. 🏈 2025: Alabama overcame a 17-point deficit to stun Oklahoma in a Playoff game in Norman, ending the Sooners’ season and keeping them from getting their first ever CFP win. ⚾️ 2026: Oklahoma crushed Alabama 9-0 in the College World Series today, putting the Tide’s title hopes in major trouble. The two also faced off back in the 2018 College Football Playoff, where Alabama defeated Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray and Oklahoma 45-34.
