I reported last month that @johnofa, one of the first partners at Andreessen Horowitz, left his role at the firm due to political disagreements with Marc Ben.
Today, he's expanding on that in a column in NYT.

just finished @tab_delete’s incredible book on the “stanford within stanford” and associated silicon valley skulduggery—if the purpose of a system is what it does, then stanford is largely a tech talent funnel where the expression of dark triad behavior is encouraged from the highest levels
of course, the university is more than this, but its cultural placement upstream of other universities, silicon valley, and large steradians of the lightcone means that much more attention should be placed on intentionally crafting campus culture than is currently being done
