I'll say this for JVG, he is a classy bloke. At the end of a very hard press briefing (yes, the DG was in the play book; yes there was space out wide) - he went round and shook every member of the media's hand and said "thank you" Rugby is lucky to have him
Very interestingly on the non drop goal, Rob Baxter has just said he didn't expect Bath to take the shot. Explaining that Bath are so good in this area, why would they not go to a super-strength?

I think I've just witnessed two of the most incredible rugby games ever played ... in the space of about 18hrs!!! So it's Northampton against Exeter in the final .. and thank heavens it's a week away because I'm not sure I'm in any state to go again yet

A bit more @premrugby semi final action? Oh go on then! @BathRugby v @ExeterChiefs is live on @talkSPORT2 from 2.30 - I can't promise it'll be as insane as last night, but @MattGarvey5 and I will do our best for you

Such an incredible game, the one thing that wasn't great though was the scrums - we barely got one properly completed. I know there are people who properly understand scrums, what was going on (or not going on)? @AlexCorbs, @davidflatman,@grahamsmith36, @RockyClark_1?
Just got home and I'm still trying to get my head fully around that. Tigers scored 5T away from home in a semi final - and were well beaten. Saints got 7 and 3 more were disallowed!! There'll be some coulda, woulda, shoulda - but wow what a great game. Bath v Exeter, follow that

A lovely thing to wake up to - Sir Kev, and rightly so; but @GaryStreet9 OBE sounds so good (albeit 12yrs late!). The Queen of Rugby is now @EmilyScarratt OBE And congratulations to Ian Robertson on his OBE - is @ed_marriage responsible for getting him to the Palace?

Forgot to say there was also the obligatory bit of push and shove involving players from both sides after a high tackle, which eliminated a few would be defenders. Truly bizarre - cue lots of debate about the spirit of the game etc
Er, hang on?! Cam Roigard potentially gets taken out in the air - penalty. A couple of people are checking he's ok, Roigard stands up and makes a 60m break from a quick tap, which the Hurricanes score from! That is going to attract a lot of attention

Slade really should open a pub called "The Duke of Devonshire", or at least "The Duke"; doubt he'd struggle for trade
Diabetes, nappies, ice baths and Hamlet...good to chat to the 'Duke of Devonshire' ahead of tmrw's west country semi-final... @ExeterChiefs theguardian.com/sport/2026/j…

Some @BathRugby v @ExeterChiefs team news for you * Bath - no Russell, no Pepper * Chiefs - Fisilau starts, Vintcent on the bench Everyone will talk Finn, but Pepper is big for me (which I know sounds daft when you CAN call on Bayliss, Underhill, Barbeary, Hill, and Reid)

Things the Crusaders have done well: * they remembered it was the Friday evening game, not the Saturday That's it. Disagree with the comms - Crusaders can't just run everything there's a place for some kicking, it just can't be this bad

Chiefs scoring more than a point a minute in the first half of a semi final. Wonder when/if the discussion about optional defence will start ... or can we just marvel at the attack?
