An active pattern setting up across West Central Texas for the next 2-5 days, with severe weather chances developing for Wednesday and Thursday. Severe chances decrease for the weekend as showers and storms become more widespread. #sjtwx #txwx

So, from time to time, I will randomly look at street view pictures on Google Maps from around the country. Most states have those "Welcome to <State Name>" signs on roads as they cross state lines... Well, this little, tiny road in the Oklahoma Panhandle that crosses into New Mexico has the most unique welcome sign I've ever seen.

Then there is a planned site coming soon in Roswell. I know a Roswell location has been wanted for a long time.

I received this scam text today. I thought I'd mark it up with how I analyzed the message and determined it was not legit. Here were some of the Red Flags: 1) The sending phone number was an international number from the Philippines ( 63 country code). 2) The DMV threatened to report the citation to itself...? 3) The DMV for some reason threated to give my traffic citation to a Toll Booth...? 4) Website/URL is not an official State of Texas website. 5) Used an urgent call to action to encourage you to take the bait before you think too much about the message. NO Government agency will ever call or threaten you like this. Do not fall for these! Most of the time, once you send your money to these folks, it's GONE. These guys are very good at funneling the money away quickly and making their ill-gotten goods untouchable. Note: Partially Blocked out the phone number and URL to avoid people from accidently using them. @TxDMV
