I first applied for an affordable housing voucher in 1993. I finally got a call back in 2004 to tell me my son who just graduated high school couldn’t be on my lease. Today in 2022 I finally got a letter telling me I made it to the top of the waiting list. I have no words.

Cardi B: Donald Trump is a hustler who is trying to hustle women out of their rights and hustle Americans out of their money. But he’s selling more than watches and sneakers. He’s selling bigotry, misogyny, division, chaos, and confusion.

Remembering the 16th Street Baptist Church Bombing On September 15, 1963, the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL, claimed the lives of four young girls—Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Carole Robertson, and Denise McNair. This tragic attack came at the height of the Birmingham Civil Rights Movement, galvanizing support for the struggle against racial injustice. The outrage following this event helped pass the 1964 Civil Rights Act. This horrific act of hate shocked the nation and strengthened the fight for justice and equality. Today, we honor their memory by continuing to work for a world where love and peace triumph over hate. #NeverForget #Birmingham1963 #CivilRightsAct #ShiftTheCulture

Thank you, Plies, for calling it out! Black men got all this criticism for Kamala Harris, but not for Donald Trump! Some of the women are doing the same 🐂💩 as well too! More black men need to call it out! #HarrisWaltz2024

Happy Birthday to the late Coretta Scott King. She was an author, activist, civil rights leader and the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. She wasn’t just the wife of an American hero, she was an icon in her own right.
