Day 3 of #SATBConference: joined the NDoH’s Breathe Easy podcast with Hannie, sharing their TB survivor journeys and survivor-led advocacy. He later presented on community-led monitoring in Khayelitsha, highlighting TB Champions as local leaders driving better TB care. #EndTB

In a major development, Department of Social Development will be launching the End TB Strategy tomorrow, marking an important step forward in strengthening South Africa’s TB response.
Goodman Makanda raised a strong call for closer collaboration with the Department, asking for direct access and meaningful partnerships, emphasizing that communities need more than a building address...they need real, direct engagement.
TB Conf opened with a pre-session on accelerating response towards NSP targets. Prof Ndjeka reflected on the new NTP Plan, while Ingrid called for stronger investment in community-led, evidence-based responses, including peer counselling and TB champions. #SATBConference
