I’m like to say “We live in the future.” I also try to focus on positive stories and kindness. That’s why I get frustrated by those trying to drag us back to a less fair, less loving, less kind past. Let’s all try to find someone today who needs kindness and show it to them, OK?

I rarely come on this platform but I must in honor of the extraordinary Quincy Jones. "Q" - RIP. What an artist. Once in a century are we so blessed. My condolences to his beautiful family. Carry on Mr Jones! Your spirit carries on!

This is the first ever message sent across ARPANET, progenitor of the Internet, 55 years ago #Today In the late hours of October 29, 1969, Leonard Kleinrock and Charley Kline demonstrated that two computers could “talk” to each other and exchange information.

Guess what's back. Yes, archive.org and openlibrary.org are back, as well as web.archive.org (Wayback Machine) and all those amazing items. Some of the features are not up yet, but rest assured we're working on it and our tired devs will prevail.

This is so cool. Seriously. Well done, Sarah Gillis and SpaceX. Well done, humanity.
Polaris Dawn astronaut Sarah Gillis performed the first known violin solo in space, playing "Rey's Theme," from the "Star Wars" series. The violinist shares how she prepared for the out-of-this-world moment to inspire the world.

Love every word of this. Helping others only adds to the world.
Everything @PolarisProgram is doing, is proving we don’t live in a zero-sum world. This crew are full-fledged astronauts. Earning that title doesn’t take away from other astronauts. This crew are greatly benefiting St. Jude, monetarily and in research. We can explore space and work on improving life on Earth at the same time. “Much work to do, looks like a perfect world” from up there. Hopefully we can look to our neighbors and more often understand that we can help them without losing something in the process.

I don’t talk about politics publicly. You’re free to vote for whomever you want, no matter what. But ⁦@elonmusk⁩ claims to be a champion of free speech/an open, free internet. So why is Twitter blocking access to a negative story about his fave candidate? That’s very wrong

The funny thing about this is that essentially no one at big companies owns site search. I worked for years with a site search startup. We couldn’t find who to sell to in the target organizations. Customer tell you what they want… and most companies ignore them

A problem with several bigtech search softwares: They go "we'll give you a snazzy extra widget at the top rather than simply using our main search algorithm!" But then the snazzy widget at the top has poor standards and probably isn't maintained well.
