I think folks aren't into tvl so far cuz of the switch up in storytelling styles from s1&2.
S1&2 is chronological, with each episode standing on its own, as well as serving the greater narrative of the season. But s3 isn't chronological & all episodes are needed to understand it.

a big difference between louis' interview vs lestat's recording of the failures is lestat is telling his story to himself, while louis was putting on a performance. louis was putting on a front for himself, daniel, armand. lestat is friendless, defeated, there's no need for masks
