I really wanna go to a Hackathon and add value, but I’m not technical. Is there a place for me?

As a final reminder. A once great American corporation @Boeing has fallen into disrepute by creating a toxic culture with poor leadership and a drive to cut costs and increase profits at all costs. This is peak Baby Boomer corporate culture coming home to roost.

It’s funny. @taylorswift13 has a big gap in her tour schedule between Aug 21, 2024 and Nov 13, 2024. I wonder what she’ll be up to?

In a world where everyone seems to constantly be bagging on technology (while at the same time using it more and more) it’s amazing to see founders like @adcock_brett putting our society first. Kudos Brett.
NEWS: Excited to announce I’m working on an advanced AI hardware project to prevent school shootings 🇺🇸 I’m personally funding $10M. The company is Cover & the mission is to prevent school shootings. Earlier this year, Cover licensed intellectual property from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory related to high frequency terahertz imaging. Cover is designing concealed weapon detection imaging scanners, similar to airport scanners, but 10x higher frequencies and up to 4 meter stand-off distances. It’s as safe for human bodies as home Wi-Fi. The scanners will be placed next to school entrances and detect concealed weapons inside of backpacks, pockets, and waistbands. I’m doing this b/c there is a crisis in our schools: over the last decade there has been a 10x rise in K-12 school shootings in the U.S. Last year 249 people were killed or wounded by a gun shot at K-12 schools. Cover will have a hardcore AI focus for autonomous object detection - to scale to the 130,000 K-12 schools in the U.S., we need to detect concealed weapons with no human in the loop and at low false positives. It is important to note: this technology can be used in many areas outside of schools such as airports, stadiums, concerts, churches, and other public venues. In the limit, imaging systems such as this will be ubiquitous in public venues. Our roadmap will be extremely challenging as nothing of this sort has ever been commercialized. There will be years of hard work to come. We are moving fast as every week kids are dying. This is just getting started and I will share more updates soon. Follow our updates: @cover_thz

I think it’s completely hilarious that no one is really talking about Aurora GPT and what the fuck is happening in Illinois at @Fermilab
