Computational Methods for #RandomEffect Models, by Johnson Olatunji, covered Laplace approximation, #MonteCarlo Maximum Likelihood & MCMC #algorithms for Bayesian inference, applied to spatial data. This was an opportunity to explore real-life #spatial disease data.

Hot take: all your logistic regressions should be bias-corrected (i.e., Firth). In #Rstats, this is as simple as adding
method = brglm2::brglmFit
in your call to glm(). Nothing else needs to change.
