Currently active devs are making some changes to how Termux operates. A post will be made soon with all the details. One change is to use this @termuxdevs twitter account and not the @termux account, which we don't have access to. Follow this account instead for latest news.
I'd also like to announce that one more mirror node is on its way (HYD) the server has already been arranged but I require assistance to purchase the storage drives.
I haven't had time to make the post for fundraiser. So making this small tweet.
‼️ Meet the guy almost everyone hates for releasing a PoC for a MongoDB unauthenticated memory leak exploit dubbed Mongobleed the day after Christmas.
This is allegedly the vulnerability used to breach Ubisoft, which led to the R6 chaos.
We just donated $200 via Github Sponsors to the Android terminal emulator Termux. Props to @termuxdevs for keeping the command line alive and kicking on mobile!

termux/termux-packages is the repository where we host build scripts and patches for all the apt packages which we have in the repository.
We are a really huge community.
In less than past 24 hours of updating nodejs to v19.4.0, there has been 550 downloads of the deb. Number of downloads of the lts remain at 260 .
Although what surprises me is that number of Python downloads are still surpassing nodejs downloads by about 3x (1700 )
What are all the JS devs doing? Go and install nodejs and build something cool.
Also remember that we aren't starting the JS vs Python war. It's all for you to decide what to do ;)
Sad to hear @aarch64org is going away. Termux was using it for last few years after bintray shutdown to often serve tens of TB of data/month to our users. Thank you for being there for us and the FOSS community! Wishing you success for your future endeavors! *T&C apply* ;)

packages.termux.dev hosted by fosshost and its cloudlflare backed mirror has been removed from our mirrors list and grimler's repo is now the default repo temporarily. They will be redirected to grimler's repo as well soon until we find new hosting.
